Overview

Worked directly as the digital marketing, web development, PR, and social media management agency for the business. Created a bespoke eCommerce website, designed tailor made integrations for email, sms, push, and social media marketing, alongside landing prominent brand mentions in local newspapers, digital magazines, TV and radio. Generated highly positive Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) throughout Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google paid ads to spearhead the brand into a household name throughout the LGBTQ+ community in the UK and internationally.

About the business

Founded in 2019, Joshua Lloyd is Europe’s number 1 LGBTQ+ gender identity Pride shop proudly providing quality fashion with one of the largest collections of LGBTQ+ pride merchandsie and accessories available globally. Working in partnership with leading charities and organisations, the brand works directly with the community to offer a safe space environment whilst raising vital funds to protect LGBTQ+ youth.

Required work

Business was currently selling on marketplaces including Etsy and eBay and had started a website but was struggling to generate traffic and sales. They required a highly optimised website with optimised content created for organic traffic, along with paid ads set up through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms.

There was no email marketing set up so an Email Service Provider (ESP) was required to collect subscribers and to set up automations and campaign templates for mailshots for new products and to re-engage lapsed customers when required.

Client was posting on social media accounts, however scheduling was not set up with no concurrent theme in place to build brand image throughout campaigns and content, for this reason social media management was also required to increase impressions and conversions.

The eCommerce brand essentially required full time digital marketing and web development to build a house known brand and expand beyond marketplaces to grow sales, increase marketing integrations, and to ideally build a safe space community and website to be enjoyed by all.

As the client already had a Shopify store with basic understandings of the platform, we agreed that a new eCommerce store should be built on this platform and was best starting from scratch to ensure all best practices were implemented to improve usability and to increase website traffic and sales.

What we did

We created a bespoke eCommerce website for the client with social media and paid marketing integrations connected, along with email marketing software connected and landing pages to collect subscribers organically, whilst combining Facebook and Google paid ads to create lead generation to the business.

Integrated stock management between all selling locations to reduce stock discrepancies with all orders being centralised to one shipment software to speed up picking and packing which also utilised bespoke software to create shipping rules and automations to simplify and improve the process.

Social media accounts were managed, with other accounts created where organic traffic and brand image could be created, such as on Pinterest and YouTube. We created marketing calendars and plans and worked with the business to share user and business generated content to improve brand awareness and social proof wherever possible.

Created automations for email, SMS, and push marketing, alongside ad sets and campaigns for paid ads across Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, TikTok, and Snapchat which welcomed a large increase in traffic and sales with a highly positive Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) average.

A tailor-made loyalty system was implemented to increase customer retention with all marketing automations created with loyalty embedded, along with review data to increase social proof and increase loyalty throughout the brand.

Worked as main Public Relations (PR) for the business to gain awareness from local and international press to help increase brand image on a wider scale. Acquired key articles in numerous local papers, digital magazine, TV and radio websites, with products from the brand appearing on The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) on ITV.

We worked with the client throughout the years and became the core eCommerce and marketing agency team to be on hand for any required updates and marketing campaigns to increase sales, most actively through seasonal campaigns and holidays.

Our results

Scaled the business from a small self employed venture into a Small Business Enterprise (SME) through a wide range of marketing, IT management, website creation and design.

Increased organic traffic Year on Year (YoY) from all touch points including Google search, social media, public relations and word of mouth whilst scaling paid advertising with a highly positive Average Order Value (AOV) and Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) across all platforms.

Acquired significant contact and subscriber database with automations and campaigns set up and optimised to increase Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and grow customer retention rates YoY.

Significantly increased social media impressions, click throughs, and followers via organic social media optimisation to generate leads and sales combined with email marketing set in place.

Created over 100 page 1 Google search results for competitive keywords across all collections and blog posts created and optimised with majority of lead generation gathered via organic search and social to optimise profit margins across the board.

Generated impressive catalogue of backlinks from trusted sources including the press, television shows on leading channels such as ITV, with radio mentions on both regional and national stations.
