Overview

Carried out social media management and marketing alongside digital marketing consultancy for client to increase product awareness and increase sales. Within initial 3 month commitment, we welcomed a 43% increase to products sold via social media, with and increased 76% in post engagement and a further 54% for post reach.

About the business

DP Building Systems was established in 1998 as a specialist distributor of Cable Management, Cable, Electrical Raceway, Containment, Cabling, Power Management, Data Communication Solution, Racking & Cabinet Solutions to the building, services industry, construction industry, Mechanical & Engineering and IT & Data Centre Industry.

Required work

DP Building Systems created a Pride-inspired multi USB fast charging cable to help support the charity LGBT Foundation. Although they were selling cables organically via there website and throughout leading stores such as Toolstation and The Range, they were not reaching their potential organically via social media. Although the company already had social media accounts in place, however did not optimise their channels or content to increase awareness and sales overall.

The business required social media accounts to be analysed with social media planning set in place with optimised content created across the board to generate awareness to their product. The client had limited assets which required new content to be created to go alongside existing media created ensuring the theme and style was consistent.

Social media content was to be aimed at both consumer level and business level to leverage sales for both B2C and B2B with a core focus on direct to consumer sales.

What we did

We began by analysing all social media accounts already in place to assess which content had performed well in the past to ensure we had a grasp on the core target audience. We presented the data highlighted from each platform and generated a 3 month action plan to the client with our expectations of increasing impressions by up to 50% along with increasing followers across the board with an average of 30%.

Once confirmed, we created content to align with best performing media used in the past across all social media accounts including video, text, photography and community polls. We then ran this content through our social media management software to match our social media database along with key performance indicators from leading social networks to analyse the best days and times to optimise content release.

Once identified, we scheduled content on a daily basis to begin to continually monitor analytics and to ensure that we were on target with our goals and scope of work. Throughout the first week we continued to make adjustments to content, posting days and times to effectively launch further marketing across all social networks.

We continued to schedule weekly with constant positive adjustments to optimise reach, engagement, and Click Through Rates (CTR) and continued this throughout the 3 month period to gradually and positively surpass our original targets.

Our results

Throughout the 3 month commitment to the business, we consistently increased brand awareness, engagement and following across all social media accounts in place and significantly surpassed our original targets highlighted to the client upon starting.

Over our time working with DP Building Systems, we increased all KPIs including page views and likes, post reach and engagement, along with social media account following and shares.

• Products Sold Via Socials = 43% Increase
